Pronouncement

The pronouncement of the bride and groom as husband and wife signifies the official end of the ceremony. It is made by the officiant and is followed by the statement of "You may kiss the bride."


1)        Bride and Groom, in so much as the two of you have agreed to live together in marriage, have promised your love for each other by these vows, the giving of these rings and the joining of your hands, I now declare you to be husband and wife.


2)        For as much as Groom and Bride have consented to live together in (holy) wedlock, and have witnessed the same (before God) and these honored guests, and have pledged their trust each to the other, and have declared the same by joining hands (and by giving and receiving a ring), I pronounce that they are husband and wife together.

3)        Groom and Bride, you are now husband and wife according to the law of the state of ___________. Become one, Fulfill your promises. Love and serve the Lord. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.


4)        Groom and Bride you have proclaimed your love and commitment before all of us gathered here and sealed these promises by the giving and receiving of rings. Therefore, by the power vested in me by the state of ____________, it is now my honor to pronounce that you are husband and wife.

5)        By this ceremony, Groom and Bride have vowed, in the presence of their family and friends, to be loyal and loving partners in life. They have formalized the existence of the bond between them with the vows they have spoken and with the giving and receiving of rings. Therefore, it is now my pleasure to pronounce that they are husband and wife.


6)        Now that you, Groom, and you, Bride, have promised to give yourselves to one another and to love each other through your sacred vows and through the giving and receiving of these rings, I now pronounce you husband and wife.

7)        For as much as you, Groom and you, Bride and have consented to live together in marriage, declaring your love for each other, you are now officially husband and wife. May your days on earth be long, happy and healthy, and may you dwell in love and joy together.
