Write Your Own Wedding Ceremony

Write Your Own Wedding Ceremony E-Book
Do you have a friend or relative that you think would be perfect for performing your wedding ceremony? (After all, Monica and Chandler had Joey!) Many states allow a non-clergy person to obtain either a one-day certificate or an online ordination in order to perform a (totally legal!) wedding ceremony*.
7.  A checklist for your officiant to be sure all the t's are crossed and the i's dotted on the big day. You'll want your ceremony as polished and professional as possible and that shouldn't be compromised simply because you have an inexperienced person performing your ceremony. We'll have them handling everything like a pro in no time!

8.  A list of possible "could-go-wrong" situations and contingency plans for each. Having performed thousands of ceremonies, we've come across every problem imaginable and we'll share our solutions for handling unplanned events such as lost rings, fainting bridesmaids, feuding ex-spouses, microphones that conk out halfway through the ceremony, crying children, and just about every inclement weather condition (for those of you planning an outdoor ceremony) that may crop up and present a potential glitch on the biggest day of your life.

9.  Tip sheets on all kinds of special situations that might pertain to your ceremony, such as creative ways to include your children, memorializing deceased family members and handling the question of how to include both parents and stepparents in your ceremony. We'll also give you helpful hints on how to include humor in your ceremony (without making it feel like amateur stand-up comedy night), wedding planning tips, and advice on how to keep your sanity during the wedding-planning process.

10. **Optional telephone consultation with Lyssabeth's owner and wedding officiant Maureen Thomson if you or your officiant require additional assistance to write and perform a ceremony that is truly unique, joyful and memorable.

Many couples are taking the do it yourself approach to writing the perfect wedding ceremony!
Composing a wedding ceremony--especially one that is both creative and sincere--can be difficult. While it is possible to surf the net and come up with a few ideas for developing a memorable ceremony, innovative options and creative wording are few and far between. You could spend hours researching and unearth a handful of mediocre suggestions, but even then, unless the person you choose to officiate has some experience writing wedding ceremonies, it can be a challenge to put everything together so that the words flow smoothly, the various components are in a logical order and not only the bride and groom, but the guests are engaged in the service.
Having a friend perform your wedding offers a wonderful (and affordable!) way to personalize your ceremony.
Lyssabeth's has compiled an e-book full of resources that will give you step by step instructions on how to put together a unique, personal and professional-quality ceremony.  Our e-book includes the following:

1.  Wording options for every part of your ceremony, including both the typical and the not-so-typical parts of your ceremony. These are the same resources that our professional officiants use in crafting customized ceremonies for our couples. Our suggested wording can be used beautifully as-is, or edited as you see fit to make them uniquely yours. They also encompass the entire spectrum from secular to spiritual to religious, so you can be confident that you can put together a heartfelt and sincere ceremony regardless of your religious beliefs and values.

2.  Creative components that you may want to include in your ceremony, along with numerous wording choices for each. Examples include the unity candle ceremony, rose ceremony, bowl of blessings, words to parents, license-signing options, sand ceremony, water ceremony, hand-blessing, wine ceremony and many others.

3.  Cultural/ethnic/religious traditions that you may want to add to your ceremony. In addition to Celtic hand-fasting, Jewish breaking of the glass and kettubah-signing and African-American jumping the broom, we also offer some not-so-well-known cultural elements that you might want to consider.
4.  A template and step-by-step instructions on how to put together a wedding ceremony from the processional all the way to the bride and groom's joyful exit!

5.  Scripts of actual wedding ceremonies to show you how other couples have put it all together.

6. Instructions and tips on how to conduct a wedding ceremony rehearsal.
Everything you need to write a beautiful & memorable wedding ceremony
