for braving the cold and making everything come together so perfectly. Our families & friends were so very impressed with the ceremony."

10 ways to Help Your Wedding Officiant Help You
It is your wedding officiant's responsibility to make sure that you are given every opportunity to make your wedding ceremony creative, memorable and stress-free. As in any relationship, however, it's the cooperation and synergy of all partners that turns good into great.
Making An Entrance
The fine art of getting you and your entourage down the aisle.
Planning a Wedding in 30 Days
Don't let the forecasts of wedding planners scare you--you can plan something beautiful in just a month.
Memorializing Deceased Family Members
Whether your family member has recently passed away or it has been many years, the void is felt on this day more so than any other. How do you honor these family members while balancing the joy of your wedding celebration?
Resolved: DON'T be a Bridezilla
Whether you are well underway in your wedding planning, or taking a more laid-back (translated "procrastination") approach, you have many decisions to make in the upcoming months. Planning your wedding can be a challenging as well as exhilarating time and it's certainly exciting to think about being Queen (or King) for a day. However, that in no way gives you the right to be intolerable during the wedding planning process. (So says I). Why Elope?
Let's preface this article by saying it is unashamedly biased in favor of eloping. That is not to say that we don't advocate (and love) larger gatherings. What we don't want is anyone being married at a gathering that stresses their nerves, their budget, or simply is not a reflection of who they are as a couple. If a big wedding isn't for you, then don't be pressured into having one.
Let's face it, the wedding planning process is geared toward the female psyche. Why else would there be so much emphasis on the elements of colors, flowers, emotions, fashion and cake? (Okay, maybe the guys can embrace the cake idea, but forget the rest!)
Things to Consider When Choosing your Wedding Officiant
Choosing a ceremony officiant for your big day can be a daunting task. If you are getting married in your church or synagogue, the decision is simple.--you take what they give you, usually. But maybe you don't belong to a church yet want a heartfelt ceremony that expresses your personal beliefs. If you are like many brides- and grooms-to-be, you are looking for creative alternatives to the traditional cookie-cutter ceremony.
Why so much money for 15 minutes of work?
The true story behind the officiant's fee
It's happened again--another phone call from a frantic bride who is due to be married this weekend and her officiant has gone missing, bailed, or simply flaked out for their wedding day. When I receive one of these calls, after attempting to calm the frazzled bride or groom, I always ask if they had a contract with the errant officiant. I'm amazed that more often than not, they don't.
Maureen's personal (and highly subjective) list of why it's so great having husband Jeremy around. Hopefully, it will get all you brides to reflect on your own Top 10. And obvious ones like "he takes out the garbage" and "I'm always assured of a date for Saturday night" don't count. They have to be distinctive.
We know the wedding planning process can be stressful and hope that these tongue-in-cheek affirmations will get you through with a song in your heart and a smile on your face.
fter saying "Yes", often the first question that needs to be answered is, "Where?" Finding the right location for your dream wedding requires more resources, luck, skill and time than many couples realize. It's also a critically important component of your wedding planning.
Don't even THINK about a Courthouse Wedding
Dum, dum, de dum, here comes the bride...all eyes turn toward you as you enter the room....looking radiant, serene....the picture of bliss. Oh but wait, before you take your walk down the (very short) aisle, you must pause in order to pass through the metal detector!
