Upon Arrival at the front

_____ Escort (usually but not always, this is the Bride's father. It could also be both
parents) kisses Bride, shakes hands with groom and goes to seat.

_____Officiant asks: Who gives Bride in Marriage? Escort answers, "I do" or "Her mother and
         I do."

_____Officiant asks: Who gives Bride in marriage? Both parents answer: "We do."

After responding to the officiant's question, the parent(s) will kiss Bride, shake hands or kiss Groom and go to their seats. The ceremony will then begin.

Recessional

After the Bride and Groom walk up the aisle, bridal party members generally exit as couples, ending with the flower girl and ring bearer (if they have been standing at the front). After the wedding party leaves, parents and grandparents should exit, followed by the reminder of the guests.

Note: if you have an uneven number of bridesmaids and groomsmen, it is acceptable to have one man escort two women or one woman to be escorted by two men.
