We are passionate and creative ceremony specialists and don't divert our energy toward anything other than ceremonies (receptions, selling favors, wedding site locations, attire, etc.) There are other experts in those areas, so we leave those parts of the big day up to them.

*We're big on humor. Not the slapstick comedian type, but the infusion of a lightness and playfulness (while still retaining the poignancy of the words we speak) that calms frazzled nerves, infuses joy into the celebration and sets us apart from more traditional officiants.

*We honor the beliefs and preferences of each individual couple, be they secular, humanist, spiritual, religious or nature-based; your ceremony can be traditional, contemporary or a combination of both. We are merely the facilitators of your celebration.

*We are proficient writers and dynamic speakers. We are also knowledgeable about ceremony etiquette, but just as quick to let you know that you're free to do things any way you want. Etiquette, after all, is simply about making people comfortable. We'll help you do that your way.
*As Lyssabeth's officiants, we regularly support and interact with each other to exchange ideas, share tips and brainstorm solutions. Because we are more than a one-person show, we always have a backup officiant available should an emergency arise that would prohibit the assigned officiant from being able to perform your ceremony. (Rare-but it's reassuring to know that you'll have a backup if need be)
*We have a wealth of written ceremony resources from which you can select all the typical and not-so typical parts of your wedding ceremony.
*Because we respect the right of each individual in the relationship to freely commit their love to one another and to know what is right for them, we do not require pre-marital counseling.
*We offer wedding ceremonies to fit almost any budget and our prices are accurately posted on our website. There are no hidden fees or unlisted additional charges.
*We are established (i.e. dependable). Founded in 2001 by Maureen Thomson, Lyssabeth's isn't going away any time soon and you can rest assured that we won't cancel on you before your big day (or worse yet-not show up!). This is not our hobby; it is our passion and our business, complete with signed contracts that we honor. We will communicate with you promptly, share our expertise freely and offer topnotch customer service.
*Although we will give you the benefit of our experience of what has worked and not worked in the past, we leave the final decision up to you. And we'll never tell you "it can't be done".
*And best of all, a Lyssabeth's wedding ceremony is never cookie-cutter. We don't do beige!
